MARCH 19TH
On March 19, 2016 at 7pm, we invite you to #TAKESHELTER.
1 in 5 Canadians will experience some form of mental illness over the course of their life. Those impacted shouldn't have to suffer in silence, but in reality many face their struggle alone due to stigma surrounding the issue. Project: Brainstorm aims to create awareness and empathy for those suffering from a mental illness.
Project: Brainstorm is a performance based event benefiting the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health along with the Humber Scholarship Fund. The evening will incorporate multiple artistic mediums and carry guests on a journey with Erin, a fictional character that is struggling with her first mental health episode. As Erin’s story unfolds we hope guests will gain insight into the struggle that someone with a mental illness may face.
As this event supports the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, there will be no alcohol served. However, we will have delicious refreshments courtesy of David's Tea and snacks courtesy of Bridor inc.
